Tech Internships' Mission
Tech Internships thrives to provide a service to students, universities, and companies, by connecting them to organise internships in a variety of sectors. From SMEs to multinational companies, we recruit interns and place internships that match your needs. It is then up to the company to train the interns on the specific tasks set by the job. Tech internships provides each intern with pre-arrival support and pastoral care throughout the entirety of the internship.
Tech Internships collaborates closely with universities throughout the year to always better prepare the upcoming academic year. If you are looking to incorporate interns into your team for September, we recommend that you get in touch 6 months in advance, on average, as that is when we recruit the majority of our students. We also have last-minute candidates that come through thanks to our digital marketing efforts and throughout the year.
Length of internships.
Internship programmes can be run between 3 and 12 months with the academic year being the standard September - January/February, and January/February - June, as well as summer internships running between June and September.
The length of each internship will depend on the grant available which itself is based on the study programme of each student. Some universities encourage 30 hours of work per week, others will allow up to 40 hours per week. This is set by the university.
Formalising an Internship
Tech Internships’ aim is to put students and companies in contact hence providing support to both whilst supporting international connections through the organisation of internships abroad.
Training Agreements or “Convenio de Prácticas” are provided by the sending institution, the student’s university in this case, and not by Tech Internship or the receiving organisation, the company hosting the internship. This pro-forma is often the Erasmus+ or European Mobility three-party contract. This enables students to have ECTS credits recognised as part of their degree during a semester or year abroad.
We work with some great universities across the UK and European countries. We recruit in a number of fields such as Communication, Advertising, Hospitality & Tourism, Journalism, Human Resources, Public Relations, Publishing, Real Estate, Engineering, Computer Science, Architecture, Graphic Design, and Fashion, to name but a few. We thrive to find the right candidate to support your company’s team.
Students are not deemed an employee during their placement and therefore will require supervision and training within your company.
The “Real Decreto 1493/2011” is the framework that regulates internships in Spain.
